Colleagues,
I am giving some thought to the practicalities of replacing our printed guidance for cataloguing staff with an online, web-based version.
I envisage that this would include URLs for external resources such as COPAC, LCRI, but would also include instruction covering local pracrtice, eg on preparing and processing books for the shelves, selected cataloguing issues, tips on using OCLC or Voyager, etc.
Has anyone developed similar materials, which might be shared with us? How have you drawn the line between essential information and information overload?
Please reply to me off-list, if preferred.
