Just catching up with this debate and was forcefully reminded of the following quote:-

CILIP needs to harness the commitment to excellence which is manifest in all aspects
of the profession represented in this dialogue. I find it worrying that "official" responses
always seem so defensive. Surely discussion of fundamental aspects of CILIP is
healthier than unconcerned apathy.
