*** APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTING ***
If anyone knows of a way round this problem (below), I'd be very grateful if you could get in touch.
A researcher here at Lincoln wants to be able to manipulate lists of search results from various databases (particularly LexisNexis Professional and Factiva Newsstand), so that he can perform statistical breakdowns of articles based on word length, keywords and content. At the moment, he is copying-and-pasting the results by hand into MS Excel, but this is becoming impractical.
Neither database's 'Sort by...' functions seem to allow you to rank search results in a particularly flexible way; however, both do allow you to export to text (either plain text, rtf, or html). Does anyone know of a method of exporting search results 'en masse' to MS Excel or Access for easier manipulation?
Many thanks,
Paul
