Hi,
I am assuming by a group title you mean one that was in several parts, but
which then became incorporated into a larger part/parts?
We had a similar issue arise several years ago with an Elsevier title. One
of our subscribed titles was Biochimica et biophysica acta. Reviews on
biomembranes, which got absorbed into Biochimica et biophysica acta.
Biomembranes, and the price jumped from a few hundred to several thousand
pounds. Elsevier allowed us to cancel this title, because it was an unusual
situation.
I should think that you have a strong case with the publisher concerned for
some compromise re: this situation.
Cheers
Lesley

Subject: Group titles
We subscribe to the electronic collection of a publisher and as a
consequence of the license we have to maintain our print subscriptions. One
of these journals suddenly became a 'group title' and prices changed from
675€ for 2003 to 1749€ for 2005. Has anyone of you already experienced the
same problem and have you been able to solve this ?
Yours sincerely,
Hilde Van Kiel
