This is all very well, but I personally expect my salary to shoot up by at
least 5k when/if I charter, like in the other professions.
Do you know that the average library consultant is on at least 1,000 pounds
a day PER DAY ?
I have always found it incomprehensible why these issues are not regarded as
relevant to chartering - these are the same people (library managers and
agencies) who want to palm us off with ten quid an hour (if that).
Once I find a library manager who assures me a rise of at least 5/10 k per
year by chartering (and who pays for the fees and CILIP membership) then I
shall see a point in submitting.
