I know how you feel.
However I'm feeling quite positive about a pilot job evaluation scheme
we're involved in at the moment.
There is a list of criteria and each role is to be examined to see how
much of each criterion is involved in that role - and really it made me
feel great because it confirms that my role of information adviser is so
varied and full, if there's any justice all the information services
staff should get bumped up as a result!
But perhaps that's just wishful thinking :)

doing exactly the same duties as a librarian would undertake at a proper
enquiry desk -
