If you intend reading Laura Lippman's "In a strange city" but have not
yet got round to it then please don't read on.The rest of you may be
mildly interested to learn that the murder victim has a Master's degree
in librarianship, but works as a waiter. Puzzled by this, PI Tess
Monaghan muses:-
"Why does a man with a college degree end up waiting tables?
Probably because it paid better than library work, and the patrons
who patronized you at least washed first."
Recognise your profession from this description?
