Understanding the role of CILIP - I struggled to include this, but did find a few ways of including it in proforma/portfolio.
If you have attended any of the Chartership support workshops you could comment on how effective you found those - and CILIP support for chartership generally.
You could discuss the proposals for rechartering / new membership categories within CILIP as part of awareness of issues affecting the profession.
Any reports undertaken by CILIP e.g. Start with the Child. Evaluate usefulness / effect on the profession. Or prizes such as Carnegie run by CILIP.
Hope that helps.

Hello list,
I am struggling with a few elements of the portfolio evidence. Any advice
about the following gratefully received:
1. What have you included in your portfolio to show evidence of
an "understanding of the role of CILIP". I haven't had to produce anything
to show this during my training, as I think it is assumed that as members
we should know this!
The only thing I can think of is to do a SWOT analysis of CILIP or a short
analysis of its aims and objectives, both of which seem rather contrived.
2. What have you included to show that you understand the objectives of
your organisations and how effectively these objectives are met? As I have
already discussed this in section one of the submission, I am at a bit of a
loss what to include here. I don't want to repeat myself.
3. How have you shown "awareness of a range of current issues of general
concern to the profession". Again, I have discussed this in the submission,
but have not produced anything additional that covers this.
Thanks
