Yes, as soon as sites join LCG we put them into the list of test sites.
We then run some tests on the site. The results of the test can be found
here.

This should also tell you if you site is in the production or test list.

If the site passes all the tests and remains this way for a while to
indicate the the site is stable over time,  then it will be moved to the
list of production sites.

The list of production sites therefore mean that the core service are
running okay for the VO dteam. Other VOs should do there own tests on
that sites to ensure that they can run their specific jobs okay.

One way to know what site is in a BDII is by looking at the
configuration file that it uses for the list of sites. This will only
really be known by the person who installed the BDII.  The other is to
query the BDII and look for your site. As you configure at your site
what VOs you support, it should not concern a site if it is or is not in
a particular BDII.
