The following vacancy has arisen at The School of Pharmacy, University of
London:
Part-time Library Assistant (Friday Evenings / Saturdays)

Salary: approx £8.75 per hour
The School of Pharmacy Library is an extremely busy biomedical and
scientific academic library, offering high-quality information services to
students, researchers and staff in a top-rated teaching and research
institution. We are seeking to appoint a part-time assistant to work
Friday evenings during term time between 4.30pm and 8pm and Saturdays
during term time between 10am and 1pm. The Saturday opening is for a trial
period in the first instance.
Duties will include issue desk coverage, enquiry work, help to users,
shelving, tidying, etc.. All library housekeeping procedures are
computerised using the Unicorn system. We are looking for an energetic,
intelligent and pro-active individual with excellent customer and
communication skills. Previous experience in a busy, modern library and a
degree-level education will be advantageous.
The willingness/ability to help out with extra hours during busy times will
also be an advantage. In-house familiarisation training will be given.
