Dear Colleagues,
Pauline Blagden, HLG Committee member and Chair of HLG's Continuing
Professional Development Panel (CPD), is planning to publish a review of
the Belfast Conference. The aim is to write an article which is aimed at a
wide library audience, by highlighting themes within the Conference such as
virtual libraries, career development, etc., which promotes health
librarianship.
To help in the writing of this promotional article for our profession
several members of the CPD will be writing reports on the papers and
sessions they attend, however we would be very grateful if other members
attending the Conference could also write a few words. Helen Bingham has
written some useful guidelines on writing reports (available at
http://www.cilip.org.uk/groups/hlg/events_reportguidelines.html) which
could be used.
In addition to using the reports for the article we may also be able to
publish them on the HLG Web site.
If you can report please could you let me know and, if you've had a chance
to decide yet, could you also let me know which session/s you will be
reporting on. If you are not sure which sessions you might attend - no
worries - your thoughts/reports on any sessions will be very gratefully
received.
Kind regards,
Michelle
