We are looking for an experienced information professional who, working
within the Learning and Professional Development Team, will retrieve,
review and disseminate information. You will ensure that our clients
have access to up-to-date, relevant and usable information regarding
best practice and evidence of effectiveness in health promotion/health
improvement work. You will be providing coaching and training aimed at
enhancing the information searching skills of clients and contributing
your expertise to a wide range of health related projects. Most of this
work will be delivered off site in the client's work place. You will
have responsibility for the content management of Health First's
Internal wed based document management system, ensuring that staff have
access to relevant information to support their work.
You should have at least 2 years experience in an information or
enquiry service, experience of using electronic information sources
(including research databases and the internet) and preparing written
materials and current awareness bulletins. You should have experience of
working with new media and preferable experience of web content
management. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication
skills, be enthusiastic towards your work and be ready to place the
client rather than the system at the centre of your work. As a member of
the Health First team you will have access to a range of benefits
including high quality training and development opportunities. Above
all, you'll get to work at the very forefront of health promotion.
For an informal discussion please contact Charles Aina, Learning and
