In a news piece in a recent BMJ I read about the DoH telling hospitals to
get cleaner. Etc. At last the penny drops. Etc.
But the funny bit, was mention of some patients inspection group which does
checks and reports back on cleanliness of hospitals.
Patients Environment Action Team or somesuch, anyway it is abbreviated
to

PEAT! Now most of you probably have never seen a bog but I grew up
surrounded by them and to me, peat is simply a fancy term for bog/turf (turf
as in the dried sods of bog which you can burn in the fire. Smells lovely, I
have some on right now).
Peat---bog---cleanliness?????
