Quoting a website name but no URL or the exact reference to the article which
has to be the one contining this paragraph:-
"The interesting part here is the usage of the new IFRAME vulnerability, for
which Microsoft still has no patch out. We urge users either to go with
Windows XP with SP2 or to upgrade their Internet Explorer to any other
browser," said Mikko Hyppönen, director of anti-virus research at F-Secure.
TheRegister article quoted by Laurie as indicating that viruses* target**
Apache.
(They don't actually, if you read the article. The hacked server is used as
was IIS with the download.ject attacks recently, to attack Windows client
machines through the unfixed vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Bias blinding I think, rather than judgement coloured.)
In other news, IBM is selling X86 PC business...
IBM produces Power (PPC) CPU chips, as used by Apple, makers and sellers of
high-end personal computers to the cognoscenti for these many years.
This is, in case anyone had not not noticed, a _very_ interesting development.
* that'd be worms...
** targetting, as any Daily Mail reader will kno, is _exactly_ the same as
successfully attacking taking over and using for mayhem.
