Outlook *will* work with nhsmail, see the final few postings a week or so
ago about this.
How you SMTP out of the practice depends on whether you have an MTA in your
practice. We don't, so I can't give you details of how to do it if you have.
If you are accessing NHS e-mail via a webbrowser, you can SMTP out of the
practice by using your nhs.net mail password. If you haven't got one, get
signed up and then read the e-mails of a week or so ago for the fine
details.
Relay.nhs.net stopped working about 2 years ago, I think - at least that's
when it failed for me after a network "upgrade".
