Digests can be set up as either text or as MIME type attachments/enclosures.
The risk depends on what is set up and what has been allowed onto the list
in the first place.
E.g. Emis-list (using Mailman) is set to remove most attachments and
endeavours to only forward text parts of mult-format mails in the first
place. Therefore digests from emis-list although containing MIME parts for
each digested message are **unlikely** to contain a virus in the first
place.
