The other factor is the patient's weight. One of our 7 stone ladies will
probably have anti-inflammatory effect from 400mg TDS, whereas 2400mg daily
may only have an analgesic effect for our 25 stone gents.

Hi all
Somewhere in my brain is the thought that ibuprofen only has an anti-
inflammatory effect at doses of 2400mg a day (or somewhere up there). I
have no idea on what this is based. Does anyone know if this is correct
please?
Also - that an anti-inflammatory action is only achieved after 1-2 weeks.
Also.......can anyone remind me whether ibuprofen has an antiplatelet action
....and....whether it reduces the efficacy of aspirin as an
antiplatelet agent. (I seem to recall the latter).
Thanks. Will explain why I'm asking in a bit.
Cheers
