I'm getting the feeling I occasionally do of presenting concepts that seem to
miss any understanding.
The sudden removal of (I assume part of ) cataract surgery surely leaves a
number of slots for the diagnosis, operation upon, and follow-up of cataract
surgery.
One obvious thing to do with these is to fill them with cataract surgery.
Doing so would remove any revenue consequences to the provider organisation
(Oxford Hospitals) in question.
The obvious source of cases is the entire rest of the UK, but pragmatically
the South, West and London.

er yes... that would be one of the reasons why using empty slots in an NHS
hospital out of area would be a sensible thing to do, would it not?
