I had not thought that was the result of calculating the new seniority
payments (although I supose it might have been). But yes, it sounds as
if they have recognised an error in prior seniority payments and intend
to ask for money to be paid back. They gave no details about the amounts
involved, or how far back payments have been in error, but simply
flagged the problem and said they would contact us shortly. The fax was
addressed not to me by name but to the senior partner, and we assumed it
would be affecting all of us on seniority pay, and indeed everyone in
our PCT, although I've not had the chance to run this past neighbouring
practices yet. I'll be trying to nail this down on Monday.
