hospitals are even worse
we have nurses working in roles fulfilled by nurse specialists elsewhere who
are paid at D grade
I don't think Agenda for Change is going to help

Hi Fay,
In wonderful Dudley South PCT, where even GPC negotiators would be seen as
intellectual giants, we have E grade district nurses. Dammed good they are
too, but considerably undervalued and definitely under paid by our wonderful
PCT administrative masters. We (the GP's) have taken these nurses, built
them up, they have risen through F & G grades, become nurse reseachers at a
national level, and then left us for pastures green and more valued, as our
friends. Not necessarily as friends of the PCT adminstrators. This process
keeps repeating itself time after time. I am sure this is an enhanced
services, but I have no chance at all of getting my expertise or experience
rewarded. As usual, the NHS drops brown smelly stuff on those who do the
work.
Best wishes Fay. I am still howling at the moon. When I stop howling, get
very concerned for those who dare speak out. Perhaps the BMA should speak
out. Oh, I forgot, the honours list and future gongs are so much more
important for those who are supported by by the payments of BMA members.
As you know Fay, this is not an attack on you. I just hope some one in in
BMA will eventually notice the disenfranchisement and dispair of their
members
Richard
