Permit a naïve question from a wireless wannabe - I use my laptop connected
at home to our LAN with broadband router to the outside world, but when I'm
travelling I want to connect through the wireless networks which are
increasingly available in press offices at sports venues, or even airport
departure lounges and so-called hot spots in the street.
So - what do I need to achieve this connectivity? Do I simply buy a wireless
network card to stick in the PC slot of my laptop for thirty quid, or is
there more to it than that?
