I am looking at referrals and the complexity of the process/volume of
data generated.
I need to know what the average length of referral letters is and how
many non referral letters are sent by GPs.
I have an archive of over 5 years worth of letters from my practice as
the secretary has been archiving them monthly.
This amounts to over 256Mb of data, half of which is referrals to
secondary care of one sort or another.
Anyone else got such an archive and would it be possible to look at it
in some way?
I have a small research grant and would be prepared to anonymise the
data myself, or pay for it to be anonymised by the data controller. I
envisage an encrypted CD of the data being sent to me by registered post
perhaps.
Does anyone have incoming electronic letters from a trust to look at the
process the other way?
Off list for offers, on list for ideas please
