Depends if you are talking Workstation or Server. There are no cost
implications for the software in upgrading workstations, although there may
be for other applications you have installed. The improvement in usability
and stability is very significant.
For Server, having just done it, I would say it is definitely a good move,
although not zero cost. And of course if you have an exchange server you
will want to upgrade that as well to get the full benefits of Active
Directory. However, if you are contemplating this I would recommend Server
2003 as long as your clinical software supplier supports it.

Anyone views on whether this is a sensible upgrade path at the present time?
We have some program incompatibility issues and this has been suggested,
though, as ever, money is involved.
