financial justification of nurses is how much they can generate through points and how much core services they can take off the GP's shoulders.
you can't make a business case for them that would stand up to critical analysis.
I'm already started the process of stopping unfunded substance abuse work, (after 15 years) - simply fed up with being 'used' by the PCT (and its' antecedents). Will be doing same to anything not in new contract from A to Z (Anticoagulants to Risperidone - couldn't think of a Z, but you get the idea).
