The word for the set of pages that are printed on one sheet is "signature", I
think, the signatures are arranged into booklets that are stitched and then
the booklets are glued into the binding - in standard book format..
I don't see why it would not be possible to write a template for it, but it
looks non-trivial.
1a 1 12
1b 2 11
2a 3 10
2b 4 9
3a 5 8
3b 6 7
The biggest difficulty with a word-processor when you make that sort of set up
is if you wnat it to be editable and flow properly, and this is properly the
domain of DTP software.
I take it there is some compelling reason why you are unable to make it out of
6 sheets of A5+ printed duplex and bind the edge flat? (or indeed dunk it
into a lab of glue and bend the cover around it, the so-called Perfect
binding or one of the commercial systems for thin books.
And if you want it in quantity, just take the CD down to ProntoPrint.
