I was a FT GP and PEC chair. My former practice let me off to do the PEC
work but income and locum pay went into the practice. We had an assistant to
back-fill on a temporary contract. Even after paying him normal rates we
still managed to get regular dividends per partner! but the hassle for my
ex-practice caused major problems and we eventually parted-and not before
time too! I gather they are now feeling the pinch- tough.
