My hackles raise slightly every time I hear Unix aficionados telling us
how safe it is compared to Windows.
Yes it is safe for the time being. Safe because it is a minority OS and
the sods that write viruses haven't yet started on it
If the enthusiasts get their way and a significant number of Unix users
go online the viruses and worms will appear.
As a web server manager I receive notices about the same number of
security problems with Windows servers as I do with our Redhat Linux
servers.
