HATCHING THE PAST: THE GREAT DINOSAUR EGG HUNT
I am co-ordinating the UK tour of the travelling exhibition, "Hatching
the Past", a North American exhibition currently showing (until the
end of May) at Yale Peabody Museum (contact Jane Pickering).
The theme of the exhibition is recent discoveries of dinosaur eggs,
nests and even embryos, and asks the questions, "were dinosaurs
social animals ?", "did they care for their young ?", "what was life
like for baby dinosaurs ?", and "are dinosaur descendants alive
today ?".
The exhibit comprises over 250 eggs, nests, embryos and young.
About 100 of them are authentic fossils, while casts are for visitors
to touch and discover interactively. Also included are life-like
models and paintings of embryos and hatchlings by well-known
palaeo-sculptors and artists such as Brian Cooley and Luis Rey.
Animated video presentations feature academic supporters of the
exhibition, including Bob Bakker, Phil Currie, Mark Norell & Luis
Chiappe.

gallery).
- Included in the lease fee will be an exhibition curator on site to

Please contact me quickly if your museum is interested in hiring this
exhibition. It has shown in several venues in North America and
has been a huge success with young and old alike.
