Seems like a helluva lot of hassle, when you could just dual boot with Linux.
I guess the main problems with VMware running under Windows, is that you get
all the windows "badness" without the linux "goodness" :) Why not install
Windows on VMware running on Linux? You'd end up with a far more stable
machine, and will be able to run FSL at full speed, rather than through a
virtual machine - which (if running through windows) might be hampered in
terms of amount of free disk space, RAM etc.
