Dear colleagues,
Many thanks for your responses to my earlier request for information about
online communities for relief workers. I am compiling a new directory for
publication on ReliefWeb (www.reliefweb.int), the main United Nations portal
for emergencies.
I promised to collate the results and share them back with the group. A
draft is now available for review at: http://rw.aidworkers.net
The aim of this directory is to include active professional networks and
email discussion lists that are open to relief workers in any organisation.
The scope of ReliefWeb is humanitarian response in both natural disasters
and complex emergencies, and the directory of practitioners' communities
spans all of the sectors covered by ReliefWeb.
I would welcome any further comments, corrections or additions to the draft
directory.
Thanks again and best regards,
Mark Hammersley
