Does anyone have experience/conducted test for determining liquefaction
behavior of silt/clay soils mixing with some percentage of gravels? I am
thinking to conduct some experimental works related to this area
(liquefaction of silty/sandy soil mixed with some percentage of
gravels/aggregates) with an impression that this area have not yet the
detailed investigation (with some of my literature review). I am
anticipating advises (most suitable way to determine the behavior,
updated works, someone's experience etc..) in this matter.

You might consider wet core construction. This has been successfully
done
in countries where it is impractical to dry a core zone out.

Dam in Indonesia is one example, which is a 120 meter high zoned earth
and
rockfill dam where this method was successfully used, and I can provide
additional information if you wish to consider this possibility. If,
however, you are dealing with a homogeneous section of embankment or
earth
fill, this may not be an option.

Can some one share his/her experience of how to carry out earth works

fill liner) in wet weather. Various options for instance, drying wet

with industrial size blowers, adding betonite or other chemicales. We

taking about a 1000 m3 fill every day for about 100 days in a rainy
season.
