Technical vacancies which we are currently looking to fill on clients’
behalf throughout the UK. Please note that this is only a small selection
of current opportunities, further vacancies exist throughout the UK at a
variety of levels and within all specialisms within the Environmental

Position: Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Competitive

Our client, a well respected multi-disciplinary Engineering/Environmental
consultancy with offices throughout the UK is looking to recruit a
Senior/Principal Contaminated Land consultant to join its busy Glasgow
office. With an absolute minimum of 4 years relevant consultancy
experience, candidates will be required to manage all aspects of small to
medium sized contaminated land investigation/assessment/remediation
projects, in support of the regional Contaminated Land directors. As a
project management position, the role will form a key point of contact
with both clients and regulators; therefore interpersonal communication
abilities are essential; along with first class report writing abilities.
Experience of phase 1 and 2 are essential for the role, and any experience
of remediation would be advantageous. Any experience of groundwater
remediation design, human health risk assessment and toxicology would also
be viewed favourably.
In return our client is offering the opportunity to undertake a varied
range of exciting projects within a supportive working environment. Salary
will be commensurate with skills and experience, but certainly competitive
within the market.

Position: Principal Geo-Technical/Geo-Environmental Consultant
Location: Midlands (South)
Salary: Min. 30k, commensurate with experience

Our client, a rapidly expanding established Geo-Environmental/Geo-
Technical consultancy; is looking to recruit a highly experienced
consultant at a Principal grade to assist with the management of their
Midlands (South) office. The successful candidate will be required to
manage a busy team of Geo-Technical and Geo-Environmental consultants
providing a range of services to the Residential/Commercial property
sectors.
With a minimum of 8 years relevant experience, candidates will have
experience of a variety of Geo-Env/Geo-Tech aspects, including Foundation
Design, Site Investigations; coupled with extensive experience of the
management of multiple high-profile projects. A background within
consultancy is preferred, and chartered status would be advantageous. The
successful candidate will have the ability to successfully motivate and
manage a growing multi-disciplinary team, and have excellent interpersonal
abilities in order to successfully develop client relations and new
business.

Position: Geotechnical Engineer
Location: North West England
Salary: £22k plus

Our client, a rapidly expanding consultancy offering a range of Geo-
Technical and Geo-Environmental services to the Residential and Commercial
markets, is looking to recruit an experienced Geotechnical engineer to
join its new office within Lancashire. With a minimum of 3 years
experience gained within a consultancy/site investigations context,
candidates will have sufficient experience to project manage small to
medium projects predominantly involving geo-technical foundation design
and geo-environmental site investigation. The ability to log data to
British standards is essential.
Candidates will have the opportunity to undertake a range of projects
within a supportive environment in a company committed to growth. Salary
will be commensurate with skills and experience, but certainly competitive
within the marketplace; and prospects for progression are excellent.

Position: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Midlands
Salary: £neg, guide £25-35k

Our client, an established consultancy with offices throughout the UK is
looking to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its existing
team within the Midlands. With 6 to 8 years relevant experience post-MSc
(Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Geology/Civil Engineering),
candidates will be required to undertake a range of duties including
Geotechnical Design associated with foundation Design, Piles, Slope
Stability Analysis, Railways, and Rock and Soil Anchors. Candidates will
also be required to design and project manage a range of Geotechnical Site
Investigations, along with associated Interpretive report writing relating
to a variety of projects. Complementary geo-environmental experience would
be advantageous also. Excellent project management abilities are
essential, and candidates should ideally be working towards chartered
status.
In return our client is offering an excellent salary, with good prospects
for progression.

Position: Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer/Consultant
Location: Midlands
Salary: Neg, guide £25-35k

Our client, an established consultancy with offices throughout the UK is
looking to recruit an experienced GeoEnvironmental Engineer to join its
existing team within the Midlands. Qualified to MSc level in
Geology/Geotechnics or equivalent, candidates will have approximately 6-8
years relevant experience ideally gained within a consultancy context. The
successful candidate will be required to undertake and manage a range of
projects including Design/Implementation of Site Investigations; along
with the Assessment of Remediation Requirements (using risk-based
techniques), and the Validation of Remediation/Techniques. Complementary
Geo-technical skills (e.g. slopes/foundations) would also be advantageous.
Candidates should have excellent project management abilities, and should
ideally be working towards Chartered status.
Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience, but certainly
competitive within the market; and prospects for progression are excellent

Position: Project Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Midlands
Salary: £Neg

Our client, an established consultancy with offices throughout the UK is
looking to recruit an experienced project engineer to join its Geotech
team within the Midlands. With approximately 4-6 years relevant experience
post-MSc (Geotechnics/Engineering Geology or equivalent), candidates will
be required to undertake the design and management of a range of
Geotechnical site investigations and associated supervision of site work.
The ability to produce concise, accurate reports (factual and
interpretive) is essential; and any Geotechnical Design experience
(foundations/slope analysis) would be highly advantageous, as would
complementary geo-environmental. site investigation/assessment experience.
Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience, but certainly
competitive within the market.

Position: Assistant Consultant Hydrogeologist for a Water
Management role. Reference: DF2704.1
Location: UK nation wide vacancy
Salary: £Competitive

Our client one of the top 10 UK based environmental consultancies is
currently looking to recruit an assistant-grade Hydrogeological consultant
throughout one of its network of UK offices. You will be a numerate
Hydrogeologist with proven skills and experience suitable for working on
groundwater modelling projects to a regional and local scale. You may also
be involved in water quality projects and risk assessments.
You will have at least 1 years experience as a Hydrogeologist, with good
numerical appreciation of groundwater issues, experience of the use of
MODFLOW, EXCEL, ACCESS and GIS packages would be an advantage.

Position: Senior Consultant Hydrogeologist for a Water
Management role

Location: East Midlands
Salary: £Commensurate with experience

Our client one of the top 10 UK based environmental consultancies is
currently looking to recruit a Senior Hydrogeologist to join its East
Midlands office. You will be an East midlands based project manager,
concentrating on key groundwater projects being conducted in the East
Anglian area. These projects cover both local studies and regional
groundwater assessments including the construction of groundwater models.
This position would also act as groundwater adviser to other projects
being led by the client. You will need to be an experienced consultant,
confident in client communications, financial aspects of project delivery
and in your technical expertise. Ideally you would have experience of
regional groundwater assessments, including numerical modelling and have a
good understanding of flow processes in the chalk aquifer.
The candidate will have a personal interest in project management,
delivery and business development with over 6 years experience as a
Hydrogeologist, good numerical appreciation of groundwater issues and
experience of the use of MODFLOW, ACCESS and GIS packages would be an
advantage.

Position: Principal Consultant, Eco-Hydrologist, for a water
management role

Our client one of the top 10 UK based environmental consultancies is
currently looking to recruit a Principal-grade eco-hydrogeologist to join
one of its network of UK offices. You will be part of a professional and
experienced team, taking a leading role in developing hydro-ecology across
the business, leading the hydrological inputs to, and working closely with
our hydro-ecologists in bidding for, managing and delivering projects that
involve a combination of hydrological and ecological skills. Other work
areas may include water resources studies, hydrological components of EIAs
and flood studies.
A strong track record in environmental hydrology - experience in
ecohydrology, habitats directive work, river restoration and habitat
creation would be particularly relevant, with a personal interest in
project management, delivery and business development and over 8 years
experience.
