Subject: student workshop
Dear all,
I know this is rather late in the day for an
announcement, and I apologise. Organising the workshop
this year has been quite a complicated task and we're
still not finished!
For those of you attending the conference, on sunday
morning will be held the student workshop, dedicated
to carreers in marine mammal science. This does not
mean ideas and advice on how to apply for grants or
wirte CVs... that has already been done in several
occasions and information is easily accessible on the
web (see the SMM website
http://www.marinemammalogy.org/student/ on workshops,
there is a link to it from our website as well).
In this occasion it os more the chance to talk in
small groups with senior scientists with different
expertise in the domain of marine mammal science and
discuss what it's really like to work in these
aspects. Question and answer session... comments
etc...
I'm still working out who will be there... is a
problem as there are several events going on at the
same time (as usual!).
But if you think you'll be interested in joining us
Sunday morning write to me to apply! We have to keep
it small... or we won't be able to do much discussing!
Might break into smaller groups, depends on how many
we are.
Hope to see many of you next week in Kolmarden!
Remember the elections!!!
All the best,
Cristina
