Dear Forecasters:
You are cordially invited to attend the 25th International Symposium on
Forecasting in San Antonio, Texas, June 12-15, 2005 and sponsored by the
International Institute of Forecasters.
We are forecasting that the event will bring out the participation of a
large number of researchers and practitioners in the field.
Professionally, the conference will have many attractions. From the key
note speakers like Daniel Kahneman, Nobel laureate ("A Perspective on
the Psychology of Judgment") to the many feature presenters. Their focus
will be on the conference theme, "25 years of progress in Forecasting"
and they will provide an intellectual challenge to all participants.
The venue, San Antonio, is in the cross roads between the US and Mexico
and has a distinct personality. It is a city of many cultures. It has
many attractions for the entire family. Among them are the famous
Riverwalk, the Alamo, many Spanish missions, Fiesta Texas and Sea World.
We also want to invite you to organize a session. These sessions will
provide a challenging view of the forecasting world. Please let us know
if you have an idea for a session.
We look forward to seeing you next year!!
Cordially yours,
Benito Flores and Tom Yokum
