Many thanks Howard!
Are these documents (thesis and article) on-line? How can I get a hold
of them if not on-line?
Cheers once again!

Subject: Re: Health benefits of "Drawing"
Hi, Roxanna,
If the phrase "development of young people" were to include first-year
students on a Fine Art degree programme, then I could offer you
statistical
evidence (in the form of Likert sets) that drawing activity expands
their
awareness of ontological constructions. The evidence is available in The
Intelligence of Seeing, PhD thesis, University of Wales, 2001. A
description
of the teaching programme is available in the article Mapping the Domain
of
Drawing in the International Journal of Art & Design Education 21.3 pp
258-272.
