HI AMY I HOPE THIS IS OF USE TO YOU;
BRITISH
ENGLISH
My fundamental reason for applying for this particular MA is because after
nearly completing a degree in graphic, media, communication I have come
to realise that drawing is the process that I am most interested in and
enjoy utilising in both my development and studio practice. It is because
of this that I wish to pursue postgraduate study in this field to further
explore, experiment and understand drawing and to develop the skills I have
so far acquired.
I have a very strong commitment and dedication to art and design, having
given up a full time job to pursue a career in this field, as it is what
I am most passionate about. It is this drive and determination that has
enabled me to successfully manage both family and financial commitments,
which are especially hard being a single parent, whilst meeting the high
standard of work demanded by my degree course. Due to the fact I have so
far managed to combine personal and study responsibilities, whilst achieving
a continually high standard of work, I am confident that this will continue
for the MA course and do not envisage any difficulties in doing this.
The MA will be beneficial in many ways, specifically in terms of my career
as it will enable me to achieve my goal of becoming an illustrator and personally
as it will provide me with the opportunity to extend my skills and interest
in drawing. As an illustrator I want to have a diverse range of skills and
expertise to draw on to enable me to successfully compete in this field.
This MA is therefore central to my career plans not only over the next five
years but for the rest of my working life.
