Subject: ANIMATED APPROACH
Good to see this approach to history (BBC History Newsletter 09.09.04 - see
below). Can we now expect a similar approach to understanding British
colonialism and resistance to it? How about an animated history of Mau
Mau, for instance?
There is a deficit in the coverage of this aspect of colonialism, not only
on BBC, but in the country generally. I hope you will address this
shortcoming. A young person looking through your animation site would not
even dream that there was colonialism, and more important, that there was
resistance to it.

PS: I have sent similar messages to BBC in the past, but have never
received any response or even an acknowledgement. I hope this one will not
also get similarly ignored - the message may be got rid of, but the issues
will not.
ANIMATED APPROACH
There are many approaches to the topic we all love - history. But people get
set in their ways, and forget that animations and games are a great way to
look at history with new eyes. To enthuse you, next week's home page focuses
on this aspect of the site - from animated maps of World War One to Captain
Cook's voyage of discovery, and Stephenson's famous 'Rocket'. You can't fail
to learn something new.
