This one-day interactive workshop presents the MEASUR methods. Practical
applications have yielded major benefits in system quality, cost reduction,
and adaptability to changing business needs. They are based on analysing
knowledge, responsibilities and meanings to produce rigorous specifications
of human information requirements. From MEASUR specifications, supporting
prototype computer systems can be generated directly.
MEASUR advances the theory by replacing the usual "information flow" model
by one of "information fields" defined by the communities that share sets
of norms (social, organisational or legal) that determine their members'
information needs.
The workshop will be presented by Ronald Stamper and Yasser Ades.
