I work entirely on Windows PCs and with three locally mounted compilers,
Nag, Nasoftware and Salford. I do not use any IDE although they are
available from the last two. I much prefer to compile within the "DOSbox"
but to use the text editor PFE to manipulate the source code in a separate
window. Nag does not have a symbolic debugger on Windows but the other two
do and this is often useful for runtime error tracing. For checking
standard conformance of code Nag is way out in front.
