Unfortunately, Fortran still allows procedures with implicit interface.
So how does the literal get the right kind to go with the dummy argument?
If we were starting a new language design, I'd do away with implicit
interfaces, and then I'd be all for not needing KIND specifiers on literals.
But we're not, so we can't.
