Hello everyone,
I have a doubt about the slice sampling method.
If I have, in a gibbs scheme, one parameter among others, i.e. theta, in
which I would like to use a slice sampler, and other parameters with an
'easy' distribution that do not need a slice sampler scheme, do I have
to introduce some burning iterations to obtain one observation of this
paramater apart from the general iterations of the main gibbs sampler?
That is, is it neccessary to include a particular gibbs procedure (only
for i.e. theta) inside a more general gibbs procedure?
Anyway, I think version 1.4 includes this kind of simulator, doesn't it?
but I do not know in which cases is used.
Thank you very much
