Yup, agree, Trevor. Except that I'd posit that the models and reality are
not the same, just as there is no such thing as a perfect map. The models
might be completely consistent within their sealed world of abstractions but
.... One of my favourites is the London Underground map, the celebrated
diagrammatic picture, which, as everyone knows, does not represent the
reality of the distance between stations at all.
