I write with trepidation in that I hardly think I can add to Geraldine's eloquent and witty post, but like G, like Tim, I did find
parts of your message , em, perturbing, you say for instance that Theo Van Gogh's work was 'deliberately provocative'. Well, so
what? Does that justify him being butchered in the street?
It certainly wasn't racist, it did question Islam but why shouldn't Islam be questioned, I'm a sort of practising Christian and I
have no problem with my religion being taken to account, it needs to be for a start, and I have no truck with fundamentalists or the
born again. The slave trade still exists, mate, it goes in east Africa and is conducted by Moslems, and is mainly a matter of
abducting women, is it racist to mention that?
