Hi Everyone,
Just looking for some enlightenment on
"National Care Standards" in the UK.
As far I can see there is a now a requirement
for non-hospital clinics in the UK using lasers to
register with the National Care Standards Commission.
I'm based in Dublin so I'm not familar with the detail
of these regulations and we don't have an equivalent
in Ireland, but was wondering how it is working
out in practice.
Is the system fully in place yet?
Do hospital Laser Safety Advisers end up being contracted by hospitals
to inspect these premises? What's the standard of laser safety
practice like in these places? Are these regulations considered
a good thing in general or not?
Any thoughts / observations welcome.
Regards,
Gerard Boyle
