I have had a quick look at this site. Stephen Bourne already has an item on
it. If you search words like 'Blacks', 'Africans', lists will come up on
contributions which mention them or are about them. A few titles are
obviously about Black people's contributions during the war. Others may have
the information hidden inside the stories. For instance 'Lascars' would be
worth searching - because I saw reference to them in one contribution which
I looked at when searching 'Battersea'. What is interesting is that there
are several contributions that are asking for information on the Black
contribution.
It would probably take a day to carefully go through what is on the site
under key words, and for someone who knows a great deal of detail about the
Black contribution in the war to post answers to those seeking information.
For archivists with wider local history remits a search for your area may be
as fruitful as mine was for 'Battersea'. All good stuff for teachers wanting
local material on the War, and for links across from your own websites that
cover the War in your area.
