The WW2 People's War website aims to capture and preserve for future
generations the personal and family stories of the people who lived and
fought in World War Two. This is an opportunity to leave a legacy so that
the sacrifices of the war can be better understood. The BBC is keen for all
aspects of the war to be represented on the site, and would like
Commonwealth soldiers, and those who lived through WW2 in the colonies, to
add their stories. You can find the site at
www.bbc.co.uk/ww2
In order to contribute, you will need to register on the site, and will need
an email address to do this. If you do not have computer access, or would
like some help putting your story on to the site, you can get help at local
centres, where volunteers are on hand to help. You can find out where your
local centre is, or request a free fact sheet on the project, by calling
08000 150950. Please come online and add your story - every account is
vital!
