The issue of BASA paying speakers' fares/accom. is v. difficult. We would
have to charge a fee that covers such costs.
As for the aims: these arise fromt he petition I had circulated at the last
conf. What I would like is not only to discuss the issue raised, but to
arrive at conclusions about what actions to take and how to take these. I
would be wholly against a conf. that was just about words....
I attach a copy of an article of mine which has just appeared. This ends by
listing the points in the petition.
