Hello All,
It has been brought to my attention that the Equitable Life is planning on
selling its entire archive at auction in November. The records include
minutes, policy registers etc and cover 1762 to 1950. This was reported in
the Telegraph last week (12 Oct). The article also mentions that the
archive is to be "sold by private treaty". Does this mean that a buyer has
already been lined up?
If anyone has any information on this sale, I would be very interested, as
I am sure would the wider archival community in the UK.
