Subject: Journalism archives - summary
Many thanks to all who responded to my request for info about journalism
archives. The repositories which were mentioned in feedback were:
University of Wales Cardiff (Hugh Cudlipp Collection, Osman Archive, Tom
Hopkinson Collection)
University of St Andrew's (George Cowie Collection)
News International Record Office
Guardian and Observer Archive
University of Warwick Modern Records Centre (National Union of Journalists,
Papers of Charles Fenby, some papers relating to The Times)
Reece Winstone Archive, Wells (photographic collections for Bristol area)
John Rylands University Library (including Manchester Guardian)
King's College London (dept. of journalism records)
It was also pointed out that the National Register of Archives can be
searched
by profession i.e. journalist or photographer, and this was very helpful.
Thanks again
