PRINCIPAL LIBRARIAN / ARCHIVIST – INFORMATION AND OUTREACH
Scale PO1 £24,048-£25,911, pay award pending
Shropshire Archives provides an innovative and highly regarded
archive and local studies service for the county of Shropshire. The
service is based in a purpose built facility in the centre of the
historic town of Shrewsbury. We are looking for a creative and
innovative person to join our team at a senior level.
You will take the lead in:
• Developing Information services, including reprographics, and
Education and outreach services
• Developing volunteering and partnerships with our Friends and other
voluntary groups
• IT provision across the service, including our website
This is a challenging and rewarding post that offers considerable scope for
personal development. If you have:
• A qualification in archive administration or librarianship
• 5 years experience of archives or local studies work
• An appreciation of the potential of ICT
• An openness to new ideas and a willingness to experiment
